We have a bag packing day for cubs and scouts. We are bag packing at Morrison’s on the 29th November and would really appreciate your son/daughter helping raise funds for our group. I have allocated each child a 2 hour slot and hope that they will be able to fulfil their scouting community work. Please make sure they turn up in full uniform. Parents are more than welcome to stay and help as well. A letter with time slots will be going out this week. Any problems, see either your section leaders or ring Ray Lovejoy on 01288...

Posted on Oct 14, 2014 in News & Downloads

AGM – 23rd Sept, 6-7pm, Church Hall This is a great opportunity to see a presentation of the activities your child undertakes at their group meetings. Please try to attend. Thanks.   Uniform The Scouts have always taken pride in their appearence and we think this is still important. We have a new purple T-Shirt as part of our uniform, please make sure your son/daughter has one. They can be purchased from your leader for £8.50. In addition we request that all children wear dark trousers (not jeans) and suitable footwear for running around in, i.e trainers (not Crocs or sandals).   Attendance and Subs If your child is not able to attend a meeting please notify your group leader at least one hour before the meeting starts. Phone numbers can be found on the right of this page. Please note: due to the costs of our insurance and premises, subs MUST be paid even if your child is not able to attend.   Get Involved – IMPORTANT! Please remember that everyone who helps with the Scouts from Parents to Commissioners give up their time for free for the benefit of the children so if you want to get more involved… please please do! Come and talk to us.   Parent Rota – IMPORTANT! The parent rota is key to us being able to carry out the programme, however we also understand that sometimes families have other commitments. If this is the case please let us know so that we do not Rota you on – and don’t worry, we’ll be sure to find other ways that you can...
